Most importantly, he is a big hearted man in where he had arranged for his grandfather to be reburied in his homeland. Mack is a man who is actually jobless yet he has a way to convince people on what or how he thinks.

Mack and the boys are men who could become someone or make something of themselves. They steal, cheat, work as little as possible and drink too much but are very likeable and good men. Mack and the boys are significant characters in this story.
